College Admission Testing

Each October, a day will be scheduled for all CRHS juniors to take the PSAT with test fees being paid by the district. Any sophomore who would like to test may do so as well with the test fee being the responsibility of the student and his/her family. The PSAT is excellent practice for the SAT, which is a college admission exam. Admissions exams like the SAT or ACT have become optional at many 4 year colleges & universities  in the last 3 to 5 years. You may not need to take a college admission exam at all in order to apply to the colleges of your choice. Or, even if you do take the SAT for example, you may opt to have the Counseling Office not include your scores on your HS transcript. You will want to do some research on this topic with schools that you/your student is interested in applying to in order to make an informed decision.

If you plan on using your school issued device (chromebook) for the SAT, please email Mr. Smith at [email protected]. There may need to be a configuration changed on the device.
