Biography
I am a US Navy veteran, serving in Desert Shield during the Persian Gulf War. After the war, I worked at an electronics factory and for the US Postal Service before deciding to go to college to be a teacher. My inspiration was my 8th grade World History teacher who made learning so much fun for me. So in 2001, as an adult student, I went to college for the first time and got my Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education with a Minor in History from Penn State University - graduating with High Distinction in 2005. I have been teaching at Chestnut Ridge High School since 2007, teaching a variety of Social Studies courses and Drivers Education through the years. Currently, I teach 9th grade American History II: Civil War through World War II.
