Bio Byte:
I am a US Navy veteran, serving in Desert Shield during the Persian Gulf War. After the war, I worked at an electronics factory and for the US Postal Service before deciding to go to college to become a teacher. My inspiration was my 8th grade World History teacher who made learning so much fun for me. So in 2001, as an adult student with a family, I went to college for the first time and got my Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education with a Minor in History from Penn State University - graduating with High Distinction, Penn State's equivalent of Magna Cum Laude. After graduating college, I substituted at CRSD and several Blair County school districts before being hired full-time at Chestnut Ridge High School in 2007, where I have instructed a variety of courses through the years.
I am married with 2 children and live in Blair County.
